I am, I do

Being Content in Solitude

Photo by Gantas Vaičiulėnas on Unsplash

I am my shadow
A projection in reverse
And my reflection

These two fit right in
They join a trio known as
Me, myself and I

It’s getting crowded
I add identities so
No room for ego

This is who I am
I never would have chosen
I’ll learn to love her

Focus on her needs
Instead of others. Before
They took her place here

I can’t be lonely
I’m always with me. Take me,
To have and to hold

Til death do us part
